exploring the intersection of art and design

Suiseki Lamp

A table lamp inspired by Suiseki, the Japanese art of appreciating stone.

This design is available in two variations: with a stone shade or a plastic shade. The stone shade is hand-carved from Italian alabaster and the plastic shade is 3D-printed polycarbonate. Both variations are produced in Fort Lauderdale, FL and hand-assembled in our studio.

About Me

My name is Sean Tabris. I am an industrial designer and studio artist. After spending years helping a variety of companies and clients with product development and manufacturing, I am currently focused on my studio craft and designing objects which I hope will outlive me. Often times the starting point for my work is exploring a craft technique or specific material. I have always been fascinated by the intersection of art and design with a specific focus on the beauty of nature.
